From January 9 through yesterday evening, I ran a poll to see which book people would want to read with me as part of a virtual book club. I had such fun watching the results of the poll! There were a total of 92 votes cast and nearly as many sign ups for the book club. For over a week, two books were tied: River’s Rowan and The Storyteller. Edging into first place by only 2 votes, the winner of the poll is River’s Rowan! The poll concluded with these results:

  1. River’s Rowan: 20 votes
  2. The Storyteller:  18 votes – see below for some happy news!
  3. Dance For Me:  12 votes
  4. Broken:     12 votes
  5. Taramul Viselor 11 votes
  6. The Character  8 votes
  7. Ash       6 votes
  8. Haven      5 votes

    Total:      92 votes

First, I am excited that River won! As it’s also the newest release, it’ll be fun to dive into it. If you didn’t get a chance to vote, that’s okay, you can still join along. I’ve posted a reading schedule that allows for a slower reading pace – this will hopefully allow others to join without feeling like they’ve missed a lot. I’ve also posted the first discussion prompt — I’d love for you to get the conversation started via the comments!

SECOND PLACE BOOK

For those who did vote and sign up before the poll ended — your complimentary copy of River’s Rowan will be mailed this week! I can’t wait to see what you think! The Storyteller came in second place — and it was so close — it was edged out by only 2 votes. In case you voted for that book instead of River, I’ve created a free e-book promotion – starting tomorrow, February 2, 2024 and going until February 6, 2024, you can get the Kindle version of The Storyteller for free!

THANK YOU!

… for voting, for downloading the copies of the book on Kindle, for signing up for the book club. My passion is building supportive, encouraging community of readers; getting the chance to talk about the books is a literal dream come true! If you’d like to be a part, sign up below – you can learn a lot more about the book club, and find this FAQ, through the Chapter Chats section of the blog.
